Connection to Sustainability: Watauga Residential College has a focus on environmental sustainability and provides an opportunity for students to learn and practice sustainable living.
Teaching: Tales of Survival; Animal Rights; Food, Community and Place; Ideas of Work and Intentional Living.
Student Engagement and Outreach Activities: Programming surrounding the Edible Schoolyard; Composting after meals in the college; Working on the Appalachian Trail; Providing 20 hours of service to farms & the community required for a certificate program.
