Advising Mission
Our mission is to foster a collaborative, purposeful and empowering academic advising experience that cultivates mutual respect and prepares students to make well-informed decisions as they pursue their academic and professional goals. A core component of this mission is to provide extensive support to our faculty academic advisors, offering policy expertise and prompt assistance as they mentor and guide students toward academic success.
We're located on the second floor of Edwin Duncan Hall (Suite 205). The office is staffed by professional advisors and records specialists who serve current and prospective students, as well as faculty and staff in the College of Arts and Sciences at Appalachian State University. Students are encouraged to visit the office for assistance with academic planning and questions, registration and senior checks.
