BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University is one of 18 higher education institutions nationwide to be named a Top Producer of Fulbright scholars and students for the 2022–23 academic year, according to the U.S. Department of State and Institute of International Education.

BOONE, N.C. — The Harris household in Charlotte wears a lot of black and gold. Tony Harris Sr. ’92 and his daughter Lundyn Harris ’16 are alumni of Appalachian State University — and his daughter Jaeda Harris and son Tony Harris II are current students.

Dr. Michael Reddish is an assistant professor in App State’s Department of Chemistry and Fermentation Sciences. The Reddish Lab focuses on studying human cytochrome P450 enzymes — proteins that are involved in the body’s metabolism of steroid hormones, pharmaceuticals, carcinogens and fat-soluble vitamins. 678 students in the College of Arts and Sciences were included on the Chancellor's list and 1,120 were included on the Dean's list.
