Celebration of Student Research and Creative Endeavors Winners 2019

This Celebration showcases meaningful research in all disciplines by students at Appalachian, with the top three posters in both the undergraduate and graduate divisions receiving awards. This year, over 100 abstracts were entered in the 10th annual poster competition.

Six winning entries by Appalachian State University faculty and staff have been announced for the 2019 Chancellor’s Innovation Scholars Program. The chosen teams were awarded close to $10,000 each from the Office of the Chancellor and Division of Academic Affairs.

Dr. Baker Perry ’98, professor in Appalachian State University’s Department of Geography and Planning, is the great-great-grandson of D.D. Dougherty, who along with his brother founded Watauga Academy in 1899, now Appalachian State University.
