Chemistry and Fermentation Sciences, College Advising and Support Services staff receive shout-outs in June

BOONE, N.C. — In June, four members of Appalachian State University's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) were recognized with staff shout-outs. Awarded by Staff Senate, these recognitions honor staff members who make positive contributions across the University.

A nominator praised two members of the College Advising and Support Services Hub (CASSH)Alice Craft '06 '23 (Academic Advisor) and Kathy Henson '97 '15 (Academic Advisor and Student Records Coordinator) — for their dedicated support in helping a student navigate an accelerated path to graduation.

In the Department of Chemistry and Fermentation Sciences, two staff members were also recognized for their exceptional service. Megan Hutton '22 (Administrative Support Associate) was acknowledged for consistently stepping up to support the department's many summer events and activities. Additionally, a colleague commended Alicia Roberts '03 (Administrative Support Specialist) for going above and beyond to assist with research needs during a challenging time.
