The American Institute for Physics (AIP) has released their survey of enrollments and degrees among physics and astronomy departments across the United States.

Madelyn Marie Kittle, a senior majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing and film studies, has been awarded Appalachian State University’s 2017-18 Truman Capote Literary Trust Award for Creative Writing.

The National Science Foundation, through a major research instrumentation program grant, awarded the College of Arts and Sciences’ Dewel Microscopy Facility at Appalachian State University $562,842 for a new scanning electron microscope (SEM).
