This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Global Studies program at Appalachian State University. In celebration of this important milestone, the Department of Cultural, Gender and Global Studies that houses the program is hosting a special fundraising event to help support Global Studies students in their effort to study abroad.
The Global Studies program requires all of its students to study abroad for a full semester. Attendance at this event will help move the scholarship fund towards endowed status, so Global Studies students can make this portion of their studies attainable for many years to come, no matter what their financial situation. This event will feature globally-themed heavy hors d'oeuvres prepared by Ken Gordon at The Gamekeeper Restaurant in Blowing Rock, N.C.
This event is hosted by the Department of Cultural, Gender and Global Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences and coordinated by a student resource development team, as part of their Principles of Fundraising course in the Global Studies program.
