BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University's biggest annual day of giving is back for its 13th year with a new look and name: Appalachian State Giving Day. On Thursday, March 26, support the leaders and creators of tomorrow by giving to App State's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).
Priority Areas
This year, CAS is prioritizing four areas that rely on donor support:

Challenge Gifts
Because of generous alumni and friends, CAS is kicking off Giving Day with a series of challenge gifts ready to be unlocked. Every gift — no matter the size — helps us reach these goals and amplify our impact.
When 10 donors support the Department of Psychology, Karen '85, CAM, and Stephanie '14 '17 Moss will establish the Moss Family Endowed Scholarship for Psychology.
When 10 alumni and donors give to the Department of Computer Science, Tommy Guy '07 will donate $16,000 to the Computer Science AI Advancement Fund.
When the Watauga Residential College receives 15 gifts, Ron Russell '88 and Tommy Sweat will contribute an additional $10,500.
When 10 donors support the Fermentation Sciences program, Ken '85 and Jill Cummings will donate $10,000 to the fund.
When 10 alumni and donors give to the Department of Computer Science, alumni Tommy Guy '07 and Michael Crawford '14 '17, will donate $6,500 to the Computer Science Alumni Scholarship.
When 10 alumni and donors give to the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Tommy Guy '07 will donate $5,000.
When 10 alumni and donors give to the Department of Philosophy and Religion, Tommy Guy '07 will donate $5,000.
When the Department of History receives 10 donations, Paul Balle '85 will make a gift of $4,700 to the Dr. Donald B. Saunders Memorial Scholarship for History Honors Students.
When 15 donors support the College of Arts and Sciences Student and Faculty Excellence Fund (SAFE), David Jurney '73 will donate $3,000 to the fund.
When 15 donors support the Center for Judaic, Holocaust, and Peace Studies, Molle Grad will donate $2,500 to the fund.
When 15 people support the Ken "Doc" Muir Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Tolerance and Inclusion, Dr. Lisa Muir will donate $2,500 to the fund.
