Appalachian State University's Department of Mathematical Sciences is excited to host JoAnna Klein, a freelance science journalist and regular contributor to the New York Times for a talk Friday, Nov. 6 from 3-4 p.m. EST. Klein graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in English from Appalachian in 2006 and returned to earn a M.A. in Psychology in 2009.
She will discuss tips for effectively communicating science to a general audience, as well as talk about her own personal journey into science communication and journalism. More about Klein can be found at her website, https://www.joannaklein.org.
