The Office of Student Research invites both graduate and undergraduate students along with their faculty mentors to submit abstracts to the 23rd Annual Celebration of Student Research and Creative Endeavors meeting. The celebration is a chance to showcase the research and creative activities occurring with students on our campus. Three students, from both the undergraduate and graduate categories, will also be chosen and awarded elevated recognition for their hard work.
During the 2019 Celebration, presentations represented 24 different academic departments and 91 faculty mentors. In 2018, over 176 abstracts were submitted for the event representing a variety of majors across the university, many within the College of Arts and Sciences.
All abstracts must be submitted by Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
Visit the Office of Student Research website: https://osr.appstate.edu/research-day for more details and for the abstract submission form (listed under Research Day).

About student research at Appalachian
Appalachian State University encourages faculty-mentored student research, which provides students with the opportunity to work side by side with faculty on meaningful research or creative endeavors. These projects often result in presentations, performances or exhibitions at regional, national and international conferences and events. Students who engage in research are able to apply knowledge from the classroom into real-world experiences and learn how to problem-solve, effectively communicate and analyze complex issues. Appalachian’s Office of Student Research (OSR) was established in 2005 to expand the opportunities necessary for undergraduate and graduate students to engage in research and creative activities at Appalachian.
