The University Forum Speaker Series is excited to bring LaTosha Brown, cofounder of Black Voters Matter Fund, jazz singer and fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government to speak on Civic Engagement and Voting Rights. The free lecture will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Schaefer Center for Performing Arts and is open to the public.

The University Forum Committee (UFC) is responsible for bringing external speakers to the campus of Appalachian State University. The University Forum Lecture series is one of the longest-running such series at Appalachian State University and it provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff at the university and for people in the surrounding region to hear some of the most stimulating speakers in the country.

If faculty would like to provide credit for students attending, please reach out to Dr. Joy James, UFC Chair jamesjj@appstate.edu. Students will be able to swipe at the event and a list will be sent to participating faculty members.
