Shout out to the Department of Computer Science

Three new papers published in the Department of Computer Science:

"BeePhon: A Web-Application for Beehive Audio Exploration" 

Published by Computer Science graduate student Luke Craig, Dr. Mitch Parry, Dr. Rahman Tashakkori,  and CS undergraduate student Ian Watts has been accepted for presentation by the IEEE Southeast Conference 2019.

"A Web-App for Analysis of Honey Bee Hive Data" 

A paper 'A Web-App for Analysis of Honey Bee Hive Data ' by CS graduate student Gurney Buchanan and Dr. Tashakkori has been accepted for presentation by the IEEE Southeast Conference 2019, April 11-14, 2019, Huntsville, AL.

"Higher-Kinded Data Types: Syntax and Semantics"

The paper 'Higher-Kinded Data Types: Syntax and Semantics' by Patricia Johann and Andrew Polonsky has been accepted for presentation at the ACM/IEEE Symposium on Logic in Computer Science (LICS'19) to be held in Vancouver, BC, Canada, 24-27 June. LICS is the world's premier international conference on logical foundations of computing; paper acceptance is accordingly competitive. Dr. Johann is a professor in the Computer Science Department at Appalachian. Dr. Polonsky has been a postdoctoral research assistant on Dr. Johann's NSF grant, New Foundations for Indexed Programming, since January 2018. He previously held postdoctoral positions in Paris, Amsterdam, Princeton and Bergen.
