September 2024 College of Arts and Sciences Staff Shout Outs

BOONE, N.C. — Awarded by the Appalachian State University Staff Senate, Staff Shout Outs recognize staff members for their positive contributions to the University. In September 2024, five staff members in the App State College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) received Shout Outs from their colleagues.

  • A nominator wrote about Gibbs, "Lauren is exceptional at communicating college news, events and awards to the college everyday. She helps Chairs with their newsletters and websites and is a wonderful advocate for departments in the college."

  • A nominator wrote about McFayden, "Jasmin is the uber professional, always seeking more knowledge in her field and encouraging her colleagues by her unwavering support."

  • A nominator wrote about Nelson, "Clint Nelson is always willing to help with computer support and always does it with a smile."
