Reclaiming Intersections: An Exhibit of Student Work

Reclaiming Intersections: An Exhibit of Student Work

Opening Reception
UPDATE - date change to Thursday, March 15, 2018
7:30-9 p.m. in the Belk Library and Information Commons

Opening evening, a zine making party around the theme of Reclaiming Intersections will be hosted in the library - snacks will be provided.

This exhibit features work produced by students enrolled in the Introduction to LGBTQ Studies class (GWS 2600). As a part of a greater roster of Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies events in March, the GWS program is collaborating with the Library to host this exhibit to bring more students into the conversation around LGBTQ+ issues and intersectionality as a lens through which we can make sense of the oppression and resistance that people experience and engage in.

This event is co-sponsored by the Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies program (gws.appstate.edu) housed in the Department of Cultural, Global and Gender Studies and with the Belk Library and Information Commons (library.appstate.edu).

For questions, contact Sarah J. Greenwald, Interim Director of the Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies Program and Professor of Mathematics at gws@appstate.edu.
