Dr. Christopher Bartel
Professor of Philosophy
Department of Philosophy and Religion
The Center for Academic Excellence has enlisted the help of many faculty champions across the campus community to help with workshops and support for the Keep Teaching initiative during the virtual transition of Covid-19. Faculty champions are helping others with transitioning to online delivery; continuing support of faculty and staff within their home department throughout this semester; providing consultations and workshops, as well as assisting faculty with efforts for accessible course content.
"I have been teaching online for a number of years and am particularly interested in finding ways to design the flow of an online course to help students with their time management. As a faculty champion, I have been providing support to my colleagues in the Department of Philosophy and Religion who have all adapted to the online format admirably. I have assisted my colleagues in structuring their online courses, finding the right formats for their planned mode of delivery and troubleshooting some last-minute problems," said Bartel.
