Biology Seminar Series talk on "Anthocyanin pigments in leaves: ecological and physiological functions"

The Biology Seminar Series will presents Dr. Nicole Hughes from the Biology Department at High Point University. She will be giving a research talk titled, "Anthocyanin pigments in leaves: ecological and physiological functions."

Hughes received her M.S. in Biology from Appalachian State University, under the supervision of Dr. Howie Neufeld. Her thesis research on winter leaf reddening actually forms the foundation of the new work that she will be presenting. Hughes received her PhD in Biology from Wake Forest University. Since 2010, she has been a faculty member at High Point University, where she has continued her research and taught courses in ecology, evolution, botany and climate change.
