  • Winter Storm Warning

    A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Watauga County, NC by the National Weather Service effective from 5 AM Saturday, March 24 until Noon Sunday, March 25. This includes Appalachian State University. 3-5 inches of snow, with localized amounts of 8 inches can be expected. In addition, up to one tenth of an inch of ice possible. Be prepared for hazardous travel conditions. Closely monitor the weather forecast over the weekend.
