Annika Davidson '19 and Michelle Holcombe receive staff shout-outs

BOONE, N.C. — Two staff members in Appalachian State University's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) were recently recognized with staff shout-outs. Awarded by Staff Senate, Staff Shout Outs recognize staff members for their positive contributions to the University.

Annika Davidson '19

Davidson '19, an alumna of App State's Architectural Technology and Design program in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, serves as the interim manager of the Biology Greenhouse. Davidson's nominator described her as an "incredibly hard worker" who is "knowledgeable and passionate about the Greenhouse and always thinking of ways to elevate the Greenhouse experience."

Michelle Holcombe

Holcombe is the Business Officer of Personnel in the CAS Dean's Office. Prior to joining the Dean's Office in July of 2025, she served as the Administrative Support Specialist for the Department of Psychology. Holcombe's nominator wrote, "Michelle has done an excellent job in her new position. She listens with kindness and empathy to everyone in the office, and reminds us how thankful she is for the work we do. She's truly great to work with!"
