BOONE, N.C. — AppDocs will host a Student Pitch Competition on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. in the Greenbriar Theatre in the Plemmons Student Union at Appalachian State University's Boone campus.

Appalachian State students are invited to pitch a narrative or documentary project. For registration and instructions, students should email Dr. Beth Davison, co-director of AppDocs and professor of Appalachian studies in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, at davisonb@appstate.edu by Monday, March 17.

Pitches are restricted to Appalachian State students, but competition attendance is free and open to the public. For a disability accommodation, visit odr.appstate.edu.

The judges will award the "Best Narrative Pitch" and "Best Documentary Pitch," and the winners will compete in the 14th Annual Pitch Fest Student Documentary Competition hosted by the RiverRun International Film Festival in April 2025.
