Haley Herman
Administrative Support Associate
Department of History
Haley Herman joined the Appalachian State University Department of History as the Administrative Support Associate in August 2022.
In her role, Haley welcomes department visitors and answers their questions; assists the department chair, assistant chair, honors coordinator, and faculty members; helps students complete advising and registration; processes forms; records meeting minutes; manages events; and tackles other tasks as needed.
"I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with my colleagues in the History Department and be a part of CAS here at App State!" said Herman, who shared that the favorite part of her job is interacting with faculty, staff, and students and helping to solve problems when she can.
Herman earned her associate's degree from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Currently, she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in public health at Appalachian State with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024.
In her free time, Herman enjoys traveling, hiking and other outdoor activities, raising small farm animals, and spending time with her family and friends.
