The Office of Research and Innovation at Appalachian State University is hosting the seventh annual Research and Creative Activity at Appalachian (RECAPP) event on Friday, September 19, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Hayes School of Music, and the university community is encouraged to attend. The signature event showcases and celebrates all research, scholarship and creative endeavors of App State faculty and staff.
What to Know
The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 25, at 11:59 p.m. Faculty and staff members are invited to submit their research, scholarship and/or creative endeavor abstract or information to be part of this event here.
All oral presentations will be delivered in a five-minute lightning talk or rapid-fire presentation style. Digital posters can be presented during the event, delivered in a five-minute lightning talk or rapid-fire presentation style. Printed posters can be displayed during the event with no formal presentation time. Art pieces and/or performance submissions are encouraged, and applicants of these categories will be contacted to determine specific needs and timeframes.
Space is limited, and presentations will be chosen to display a wide range of different topics and disciplines.
Important Dates
Applicants will be notified of presentation acceptance or declination by 5 p.m. on Monday, September 1.
Presentation materials are due Monday, September 15.
RECAPP will be held on Friday, September 19, at the Hayes School of Music (Broyhill Music Center, 813 Rivers Street, Boone, NC 28608).
