February 2025 College of Arts and Sciences Staff Shout Outs

BOONE, N.C. — Awarded by the Appalachian State University Staff Senate, Staff Shout Outs recognize staff members for their positive contributions to the University. In February 2025, one staff member in the App State College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) received a Shout Out.

Shane Lee Miller
Administrative Specialist

Department of Computer Science

A colleague praised Miller for "awesome detective work!" They explained, "Shane resolved a years-old and recurring hotel charge among other investigative tasks to clarify and resolve issues."

Additionally, Jasmin McFayden (CAS Development Director, University Advancement) received a shout-out. A colleague wrote, "Jasmin is already willing to help and support all members in our division and goes above and beyond with a professional, warm and engaging manner. She is always prompt and thorough in her work and a pure jpy to have as a colleague."
